JAKARTA – Mengintip Daftar Karya Ilmiah Stella Christie, Wamen Pendidikan Tinggi Sains dan Teknologi. Stella Christie mendadak menjadi pusat perhatian publik setelah terpilih sebagai Wakil Menteri Pendidikan Tinggi, Sains, dan Teknologi dalam Kabinet Merah Putih periode 2024-2029.

Pengangkatan ini diumumkan oleh Presiden Prabowo Subianto dan Wakil Presiden Gibran Rakabuming Raka di Istana Kepresidenan.

Prof Stella Christie adalah seorang ilmuwan kognitif yang dihormati asal Medan, Sumatera Utara, Indonesia. Karier akademisnya yang gemilang bermula dari pendidikan di Harvard University, di mana ia lulus pada tahun 2004 dengan predikat magna cum laude dan Highest Honors. Stella kemudian meraih gelar Ph.D. dalam psikologi kognitif dari Northwestern University pada tahun 2010.

Saat ini, Stella menjabat sebagai guru besar di Tsinghua University, Beijing, Tiongkok, sekaligus memimpin riset penting sebagai Research Chair di Tsinghua Laboratory of Brain and Intelligence serta direktur Child Cognition Center. Keterlibatannya di berbagai organisasi ilmiah global, termasuk Cognitive Science Society, menegaskan reputasinya sebagai pakar kognitif terkemuka.

Di Indonesia, Stella juga aktif berperan sebagai penasihat dalam kebijakan pendidikan dan sains, memberikan kontribusi besar terhadap kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan di tanah air, dengan fokus pada perkembangan kognitif yang berdampak signifikan di kancah nasional dan internasional.
