Rumusnya: Subject + to be + V3 + Object/Complement
Sedangkan active voice bentuknya “Rany makes a cake”, sedangkan apabila diubah menjadi passive voice maka menjadi “A cake is made by Rani”. Selain itu, ada juga Passive Voice With By, yaitu apabila kita ingin menyebutkan pelakunya dalam sebuah kalimat passive, maka digunakan preposisi by + noun (kata benda).
